Welcome to Faith-Writer.com (don't forget the dash!), the Web home of writer Karen L. Oberst.

Recently published: A book review of God is Subversive in the December 2011 issue of Quaker Life magazine. Also recently out, a week of devotions in the October-December 2011 issue of Fruit of the Vine.

Soon to be published: two sets of Bible studies on selections of the Gospel of Matthew in Illuminate a brand new publicatoin from Barclay Press. The study on the Gospel of Luke has now been published.

During December, I offered a class at Klamath Falls Friends church on simplifying your life, particularly related to Christmas. Since I walked away from my nine-to-five job, I have learned a lot about simplifying my own life, and love sharing my insights with others. To schedule a workshop on simplicity in general, or in a particular area, contact me at koberst@faith-writer.com. You can learn more about it on my Workshops page, which also features workshops on Writing a Celtic Blessing and Celtic Spirituality.

My most recent book is But I Tell You: Jesus Teaches a Better Way to Live, a book on the Sermon on the Mount. Take a look at the press kit.

I have finished the first draft of my mystery, tentatively entitled The Quaker Librarian Searches for the Truth. Stay tuned for more details!
